To December 15, 2008 one third of Dell Latitude E laptops will be furnished with such a lighting. LED lighting will be installed into laptops series Latitude E4200, E4300, E6400 ATG and E6500. Besides, LED lighting will became a standard in displays of Dell Precision M2400 and M4400 mobile workstations.
To the end of the next year Dell is planning to use LED lighting no less then in 80% laptops and in 2010 to outfit all the laptops with this lighting. The advantages of LED lighting are lack of mercury, suitability to recycling and power efficiency.
