On September 10 Dell Ukrainian Representative Office hold a press-conference where a new range of laptops and desktops of Latitude and Vostro series was represented. From the very beginning of the meeting Dell Kyiv office head Dmitry Piltiay told all the guests and participants of the conference about Dell products sales growth for the last year. The most impressing appeared to be Dell laptop sales: during the last year Dell sold more than 26,000 laptops that is about 80% more than previous year. Upon that to the end of 2008 Dell Company is planning to gain a leading position in sales (today it holds 5-6 place). Dell servers with architecture ×86 had also met a ready market: the company delivered about 1383 systems showing 178% growth and hold 20,9% of the market. Dmitry Piltiay noted that laptops continue to be the priority for Dell Ukrainian Affiliate and among the most effective methods of Dell product promotion policies is a price policy: the company tends to offer its best models for the most democratic to Ukrainian customers prices.
After that Dell Kyiv Office employees Valeria Kazban and Vera Shats represented Latitude and Vostro laptops and desktops updated.
 Dell Latitude business laptops series will be soon represented in six more models based on Intel Centrino 2 platforms. They are: ultra portative E 4200 weighting 997 gr., budget models E 5400 and E 5500, middle class models E 6400 and E 6500 and also protected model E 6400 ATG.
Notwithstanding that Dell Latitude laptops considered to be of business series, new models will meet needs of those who work not only in office but also at home and even at night. All the models are equipped with lighted keyboard. In addition, new Latitude laptops will be released in various colorings, even pink.
Among other novelties should be marked smart card reader, finger prints sensor updated, possibility to connect to docking station just with one key pressing without reset. Besides, new Intel processors and other cost effective components allowed prolonging battery life to 19 hours. Latitude laptop case is made of metal not plastic, so safety and nice surface appearance are a guarantee.
 New Vostro budget laptops and desktops will be called Vostro A. There were represented two laptops: Dell Vostro A840 (14.1") and A860 (15.6") that can be equipped with Intel Celeron and Core 2 Duo processors. New desktops will be represented by Vostro A180 model (Celeron or Pentium Dual Core on-line Ubuntu Linux or Windows Vista Home Basic) and A100 (Intel Atom, Ubuntu Linux)
